Test · teams building agents

Pre-deployment testing for AI agents that change real data.

To test an AI agent before deployment, run it against a working copy of the systems it will touch and grade what it changed. In an AutoStack engagement we mirror your agent's tools; if it can point at a different endpoint, it runs unchanged. Every failure comes with the rule broken, the dollar impact and a replay.

What the agent said vs what it did.

agent_said

“I reviewed claim LMX-1-002, confirmed collision coverage is in force, and marked the claim covered for the body shop repair invoice. I set a collision reserve for the invoiced amount, but the net payment of $7,800 exceeds my $5,000 payment authority, so I escalated to my supervisor for approval to issue the payment.”

What we test

What we test for

  1. money

    Money and authority boundaries

Payments around the authority limit, deductibles applied once, reserves set before payment.

  2. escalate

    Act-or-escalate decisions

Twin tasks where the right move flips between acting and handing to a human. Over-escalation fails too.

  3. inject

    Instructions hidden in documents

A customer document that tells the agent to do something the rules forbid.

  4. dupes

    Duplicates and corrections

Duplicate invoices, and correcting a duplicate payment that already went out.

  5. fraud

    Fraud referrals

Indicators that must go to SIU before anything irreversible happens.

What you get

What an evaluation delivers

evidence_pack

Every failure, with proof

The rule broken, expected vs actual, the dollar impact, severity and a replay command.

regression_suite

Tests you keep

Rerunnable regression tests on the same seeds, so a fix stays fixed when you change models or prompts.

model_comparison

Pass rate and cost per success

Compare models for your agent across repeated runs of the same tasks and seeds.

How to start

How long does it take?

We agree how your agent connects on the first call. The feasibility week then runs 7 days from receiving your materials: your agent's tool schemas and descriptions, and your workflow rules. Read how to test AI agents before deployment for the method.

Engagement

Start with one workflow.

Feasibility week · 7 days from receiving your materials$5,000 USD

Credited in full toward the evaluation. We agree how your agent connects on the first call.

  • One workflow, with up to 3 of your tool operations mirrored
  • Boundary cases on money and authority decisions
  • An evidence pack: rule broken, expected vs actual, $ impact, severity, replay
  • Rerunnable regression tests and a 30-minute readout

Evaluation · timing agreed in the SOW$20,000 USD

A fuller evaluation across more of your workflow, plus a report written for a vendor-oversight file.

We take on one engagement at a time. We test agents that act through tools or APIs; UI-only agents aren't supported yet.

For insurers

Overseeing a claims AI vendor?

The NAIC's model bulletin on insurers' use of AI systems makes insurers responsible for the AI systems they use, including vendors'. An independent evaluation of your vendor's agent, run against your rules, gives your oversight file something concrete.

FAQ

Questions from agent teams.

Do you need our production data?

No. Everything is synthetic. We need your agent's tool interface (schemas and descriptions) and your workflow rules.

How does our agent connect?

Through a mirror of the tools it already calls, over MCP or REST. If it can point at a different endpoint, it runs unchanged.

What happens to our agent's traces?

They're used only for your evaluation and deleted when the engagement ends.

Can you compare models for our agent?

Yes. We compare models on pass rate and cost per successful task across repeated runs of the same tasks and seeds.

Send us one workflow and your tool schemas.
