How to Give an Agency Access to Your Google Business Profile

Riya Arora, Co-founder of AutoStackUpdated June 2026

Add the agency to your Google Business Profile as a manager by email, rather than sharing your login. You stay the owner, and you can remove them whenever you like.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open your Business Profile settings

Search your business name on Google while signed in, or open the Business Profile Manager.

  2. 2

Go to Business Profile settings, then People and access

Open the menu and choose People and access (Managers).

  3. 3

    Add the agency by email

Click Add, enter the agency's Google account email.

  4. 4

Set the role to Manager and invite

Choose Manager and send the invite. They accept from their own Google account.

Choosing the right access level

Roles: Owner (full control, incl. removing people) and Manager (edit the profile, posts, reviews, and info). Give an agency Manager access.

Doing this for every platform, on every client?

That's the chase AutoStack ends. One branded link requests access to Google Business Profile and the rest of your stack at the right permission level, tracked as state, with no password emails.

Frequently asked questions

Should I give an agency Owner or Manager access?

Manager. It lets them edit the profile, posts, and reviews without the ability to remove owners or delete the listing. Keep Owner for yourself.

Do they need my Google password?

No. They use their own Google account; you simply invite their email as a Manager.

How do I remove access?

In People and access, select the agency and remove them. Access ends immediately.
